Ole! One of our favorite themes is that Southwestern thing. It's easy to do and there is a never-ending supply of great party items that go with this theme. Grab your hat and shuffle on south to celebrate. Many Mexican fiestas are held in the United States every year. If you know your history you know that much of the western United States belonged to Mexico at various times.  Ownership may have changed hands but the people stayed and the descendants of those Mexicans carry on many of traditional celebrations. These celebrations, called fiestas (feasts or festivals), are held on religious or civic holidays.

Well Americans know a good thing when they see it so they have happily taken to the Mexican fiesta tradition.  Because the descendants of the original Mexicans have been Americans for several generations, many of the fiestas, especially the nonreligious ones, are a mixture of Mexican and American cultures.

So whether you are celebrating a birthday or a family reunion or just want to enjoy this rich tradition have yourself a fantastic fiesta theme party!
