It's Not Just A Toy,
It's A Learning
Opportunity

If you are looking for a cute theme for a twin baby shower, why not think like Noah, and help gather everything that the mother-to-be will need in two's?

Invitations

The invitation is an ark on the front filled with two of every animal (including 2 babies), with the question, "If you were having twins, of what would you gather two?"

Even cuter, is the idea of making a caricature of the pregnant mom-to-be inside the boat asking the same question.

Decorations

There are a multitude of different ways to decorate for a Noah's Ark baby shower. Everything from banners, paper goods, and treat bags, to centerpieces, game books, and baby gifts with the Noah's Ark design can be easily found. However, here are some great ideas for those who want to put their own spin on this theme.

Use our Noah's Ark theme paper goods - cups, plates, napkins and more!

Centerpieces - Place two small stuffed animals in the center of each table, and tie some balloons to them (pink/blue/both).

Make each table a different (small) object (2 of the object on each table) that the mother-to-be will need for her twins (sippy cups, pacifiers, rattles, etc.).

Find some rattles with different animals pictures and put two similar rattles in the center of each table. Tie balloons to them.

Use pretty glass bowls filled with animal crackers or cookies (we like the frosted kind) and stick rattles or mini balloons in there.

Seating Cards - The easiest way to do seating cards is to put a sticker of the animal, which represents each table, next to each guest's name.

You could also attach an animal cookie to each card to show people where they're sitting.

Activities

"Two by Two"- This is a great way to break the ice. Have a variety of different sets of stuffed animals. As people walk in the door, hand them a stuffed animal. When everyone has an animal, each person must find the other animal in the pair. They have 5 minutes to find out as much information as they can about each other, and then get to use that information to introduce each other to the rest of the guests.

"The Bottle Race"- Divide players into 3 or more groups (depending on how many players, since each person on the team will get a prize). Give one player from each team a small bottle filled with water. When the hostess says, "Go", they must race to see who can finish drinking the bottle first (while their team cheers them on). The team that finishes first is the winner!

"Baby Food Taste Test"- Buy eight jars of baby food- cereal, fruit, veggies, and meat. Cover the jars with foil, and write a number on the side of each jar. Pass out plastic spoons, paper plates, and paper and pencil for each player. Ask players to write the numbers 1 through 8 on the outside of the plate. Pass around each jar of baby food and have the players drop a spoonful next to each number. They must taste the globs and try to identify each flavor. Remove the foil to reveal the answers. Whoever has the most correct answers wins a prize. You'll get some funny faces during the tasting so keep the camera handy.

Party Favors

A little gift bag with some items that go with the theme is a fun idea. A small basket, with a box of animal crackers, an animal key chain, and a small stuffed animal is a cute way to say "thank you."

Give your guests small pads of paper in the shape of different animals, with a pencil that matches the pad.

If you are looking for something sweet, solid chocolate animals are always welcome (chocolate bears, bunnies, and whatever other animals you can find).

Also hand out our custom candy bar wrappers.
