Halloween Vampire Theme

Let Party411.com help you re-"vamp" your party and bring your social life back from the dead.  Enter if you dare... MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

Spooky Halloween Party Location
You don't live in a haunted house? There isn't a pumpkin patch nearby? Where will you have your party? One of the best places to have a party is in a basement. Think about it… it's dark, cool, creepy, away from the rest of the house, and best of all it's underground and out of the light! It is also an inexpensive place to party and simple to decorate. Just add inexpensive scene setters. Since we are creating a haunted house use a cemetery scene to add to the haunted feel.

Another fun idea is to go to your local bowling alley and check out the accommodations, vampires like to bowl right? Some places have spooky midnight bowling, where everyone dresses in costumes and bowl in very limited lighting. Most alleys also have party rooms where you and your guests can chill if you're all bowled out. None of these ideas strike your fancy? Throw a frightfully fabulous bash in a garage or in an empty warehouse. Rent an old barn, find a pumpkin patch or cornfield.

Halloween Party Decorations
Start outside with an upturned grave scene! Grab a bag of top soil from a home improvement store and put a pile on out on the lawn, driveway, or porch with a knocked over tombstone in the dirt. Make sure to hang creepy spider webs and bats at the entrance to the party.

Hang bats and spider webs from the trees, and put out lots of carved pumpkins complete with candles inside to light up their faces. Make sure they are scary vampire jack-o-lanterns though; you can add some red food coloring or stage blood to make it a little gorier!

Light the way up the walk with skull light up lawn stakes or light up skull fence. Have a Dracula cutout, or other Halloween character life size cutouts to help decorate the entry to your party. Add the face of one of the hosts or hostesses and even add a speech bubble welcoming everyone, “Don’t worry, I won’t bite”. Make sure to hang a sign warning others that your party is a "HIGH RISK AREA" and to "ENTER IF YOU DARE” and “VAMPIRES HAUNT HERE”.

As your guests enter the party area make sure that spooky Halloween music is playing in the background to set the eerie mood for the evening. Fog machines are always a great Halloween party must, they really create that spooky atmosphere!

Inside the party, don’t forget to hang black cloth from the windows to keep the light out; you can pick some up at your local fabric or decorating store. Add some vases of dead flowers, or a bloody rose bouquet. Leave some fangs around too, like in the bathroom, they have to take them out sometime right?

vampire Table Decorations and Party Menu
Set the table with this amazing "fangtastic" party paper goods or simple jet black paper goods. As a centerpiece have some black roses and wooden stakes wrapped with twine on the table. Remember, no garlic! Or if you want to be evil, you can take a bulb of garlic, cut off the top and grill it face down for a rustic buffet table accessory.

For the menu, check out these delicious Steak Bites with Bloody Mary Dipping Sauce, they sound frightfully good!  Wine is great for this vampire theme party, put on some personalized blood theme wine bottle labels. Grad a punch bowl and make some Dragon’s Blood Punch for the bar:
  • 1 (46-ounce) can red punch
  • 1 (46-ounce) can apple juice
  • 1 (48-ounce) bottle cranberry juice
  • 1 (2-liter) bottle ginger ale
  • Ice cubes
  • Berry vodka, optional
  • Orange liqueur, optional
Combine all ingredients in a large punch bowl or pot. Add ice and stir. For grown up version, add 4 cups berry vodka and 1/2 cup orange liqueur.  Ladle into serving glasses.

Name the foods on your party menu after Halloween "characters" like, Frankenstein's Frightening French fries, Boogie Man Burgers, Ghoulash, etc. You can even have Dirt Cake for dessert (stick gummy worms in the dessert to make it look authentic).

Desert is all about the red velvet cupcakes with white frosting and drips of red food coloring for the blood effect, and vanilla ice cream with red dye!

(See our Neck Up Halloween Party)

Spooky Halloween Party Favors
There’s nothing better than candy on Halloween! A Halloween Vampire Candy Bar Wrapper with milk or dark chocolate is the perfect treat on Halloween.

To make a "lollighost," take a lollipop and place a square of white fabric about 5" x 5" over the candy portion of the sucker. Tie the fabric at the place where the sucker and the stick meet so that it looks like a little ghost. You can then take a black marker to draw fangs and a red marker to draw on blood drops.

For the child in you and your guests, hand out adorably festive party boxes filled with a variety of treats. Or pass out personalized Halloween mint or candy tins.

Make sure that your guests leave the party with a memento so they never forget the best Halloween party that they've ever attended.
