Halloween Vampire Theme

Let Party411 help you re-"vamp" your party and bring your annual Halloween celebration back from the dead. We have invite, decoration, and favor ideas to die for!  Enter if you dare... MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Spooky Halloween Party Location
You don't live in a haunted house? There isn't a pumpkin patch nearby? Where will you have your party? One of the best places to have a vampire theme party is in a...
  • Basement! Think about it… it's dark, cool, creepy, away from the rest of the house, and best of all, it's underground and out of the light!
  • Local bowling alley! Some places have spooky midnight bowling, where everyone dresses in costumes and bowl in very limited lighting. Most alleys also have party rooms where you and your guests can chill if you're all bowled out.
  • Empty warehouse! Throw a frightfully fabulous bash in a place you can make your own from the ground up.
  • Choose an old barn, pumpkin patch or cornfield. These locales are perfect for a Halloween party!
Or go all out and rent a gothic style hall!  With unique architecture, you won't have to decorate much.

Halloween Party Invitations
Vampires just love blood - and our personalized vampire halloween invitations are to die for! Send along this invite with a set of plastic vampire teeth - they make a great party wearable for a vampire theme!

  • Wrap your invite in a handkerchief stained with "blood" (red food coloring!).
  • Cut your invite in the shape of a coffin - it's time to rise from the dead!
  • Give your invite a lux Dracula touch! Add black velvet ribbon, a red wax seal, and use parchment envelopes. Vampires are classy monsters after all!
Choose some bloody good wording for your vampire invitation:
  • The Smith's "vant" you to join them for their annual Halloween Party!
  • Bring your tastiest date to Jan and Bill's Fright Night Costume Party!
  • Stop by for a bite on Halloween Night!
  • I'm thirsty. Care to join me for a drink?

You'll want to have your vampire theme party at night, of course - vampires can't stand the light!  Just make sure to send out your invites 6-8 weeks in advance so guests have time to rsvp.  You don't want your party to be a dead one!

Halloween Party Decorations

Your party space needs a touch of the undead.  Give your venue a vampire makeover to die for!  Start with your entrance - hang a halloween vampire theme banner with a life size dracula cutout of the host.  Add a speech bubble that says, "I vant to suck your blood!"

  • Turn the lawn into upturned grave scene! Grab a bag of top soil from a home improvement store and put a pile on out on the lawn, driveway, or porch with a knocked over tombstone in the dirt.
  • Hang bats and spider webs from the trees, and put out lots of carved pumpkins. Make sure they are scary vampire jack-o-lanterns though; you can add some red food coloring or stage blood to make it a little more gory.
  • Light the way up the walk with light up skulls!
  • Make sure to hang a sign warning others that your party is a "HIGH RISK AREA" and to "ENTER IF YOU DARE” and “VAMPIRES HAUNT HERE”.
As guests enter your crypt, make sure to set the mood with some spooky Halloween music. Turn your space into a perfect place for the undead with these decorating ideas:
  • Set up a show-stopping coffin scene with a Dracula resting inside.  You could even enlist a friend to play Dracula - have him surprise guests as they walk by -  have "Dracula" open his eyes and bare his fangs!
  • Hang red curtains, spider webs, and bats all throughout your party space!
  • Candlelabra will give your space a spooky glow. Drip blood red wax on the candles and holders!
  • Replace normal lightbulbs with red lighting to instantly change the mood.
  • Fog machines throughout your party space really create that eerie atmosphere!
  • Add some vases of dead flowers or red rose bouquets. Bloody red decorations are a must!
  • Leave some fangs around too, like in the bathroom, they have to take them out sometime right?
Even simple decorations like red and black balloon bouquets (with a skull balloon weight!) help fill a large space and match the color scheme.

vampire Table Decorations and Party Menu
Dress your tables in their vampire best!  You'll want decorations that even Dracula would be proud of.  Start with black and red linens - black lace overlays give your tables a gothic feel.  Then add a couple of these table ideas:
  • Centerpieces of black and red roses match the theme perfectly.  Mix in candles to make your tables glow!
  • Painted black branches with hanging bats and red crystals are an easy centerpiece - just arrange the branches in a tall vase.  Add twinkle lights to finish the look!
  • Arrange skulls in a tall vase for a dramatic centerpiece.  Add a red rose ball at the top.
  • Use a set of vampire teeth at each place setting to hold silverware rolls wrapped in red napkins.
  • A red rose at each seat makes a beautiful favor!
For the menu, check out these delicious Steak Bites with Bloody Mary Dipping Sauce, they sound frightfully good!  Wine is great for this vampire theme party, put on some personalized blood theme wine bottle labels. Grad a punch bowl and make some Dragon’s Blood Punch for the bar:
  • 1 (46-ounce) can red punch
  • 1 (46-ounce) can apple juice
  • 1 (48-ounce) bottle cranberry juice
  • 1 (2-liter) bottle ginger ale
  • Ice cubes
  • Berry vodka, optional
  • Orange liqueur, optional

Combine all ingredients in a large punch bowl or pot. Add ice and stir. For grown up version, add 4 cups berry vodka and 1/2 cup orange liqueur.  Ladle into serving glasses.

Name the foods on your party menu after Halloween "characters" like, Frankenstein's Frightening French fries, Boogie Man Burgers, Ghoulash, etc. You can even have Dirt Cake for dessert (stick gummy worms in the dessert to make it look authentic).

Dessert is all about the red velvet cupcakes with white frosting and drips of red food coloring for the blood effect, and vanilla ice cream with red dye!

Spooky Halloween Party Favors
There’s nothing better than candy on Halloween! A Halloween Vampire Candy Bar Wrapper with milk or dark chocolate is the perfect treat. Or try one of these vampire favor ideas:
  • Try an all-red candy buffet perfect for a vampire!  Licorice, red hots, red M&Ms, and red gummies are a must.  Have guests fill these halloween vampire party favors bags before heading home!
  • For the child in you and your guests, hand out adorably festive party boxes filled with a variety of treats. Or pass out personalized Halloween mint or candy tins.
  • For adults, send home mini-liquor bottles.  Put them in a coffin shaped favor box to fit the theme!
  • Go all out with a Vampire Slayer's Kit!  Fill a box or favor bag with a mirror, garlic, cross, and a vial of "holy water" so guests can protect themselves at your undead bash and when they head home.
Have a bloody good vampire theme party, and Happy Halloween from the Party Girl!
