Corporate Mardi Gras Theme Party
some of the party girl's favorites:
Corporate Mardi Gras Theme Party
They don't call it the Big Easy for nothing! If your next corporate event calls for mega fun, creating the sights and sounds of Mardi Gras is big and easy! Picture if you will…your guests celebrating in the streets of the French Quarter…Bourbon Street…colorful masks and elegant costumes…aromatic spicy Cajun cuisine wafting through the air…the dizzying beat of New Orleans jazz…strands of sparkling beaded necklaces and coins everywhere. Not just for Fat Tuesday anymore, Mardi Gras can be a wildly spectacular event celebrated any time of the year!
Mardi Gras Masquerade Invitations
Imagine their delight when your employees and guests receive elegant feather-trimmed black mask invitations to the gala event of the year—Mardi Gras Masquerade Ball! Everyone will be delighted to get such a special invitation!
Or choose festive personalized Mardi Gras invitation! You can add some Mardi Gras confetti to the envelope to give it some extra sparkle.
Make sure to let guests know to come dressed in their most elegant costumes and get-ups—with masks. If you're going to have a costume parade and judging (this always brings out creativity and competitive natures), include it on the invitation as well. This is a fun way to see those you work with show off their creative talents.
Mardi Gras Masquerade Decorations and Party Supplies
Welcome guests to the French Quarter and greet them with the sounds of a Dixieland jazz band playing in the background. The set includes three fabulous New Orleans style buildings and a lighted arch, featuring a wrought iron design reminiscent of Bourbon Street.
Purple, green, and gold are the traditional colors of Mardi Gras display them throughout the party room(s). Balloons are perfect for a Mardi Gras bash. Here are some other fun decorating ideas for the room AND your guests!
- Jazz up the music area or dance floor with Jazz player lifesize cutouts.
- Make sure you have plenty of Mardi Gras beads and masks on hand for your guests to wear.
- The French Quarter wouldn't be as easy, and sleazy and fun without a Tattoo Parlor. There are great companies that provide Henna and Airbrush tattoos. Check Google for your local listings.
Have fun choosing the Mardi Gras decor for your party. Once your room looks like Bourbon Street, your guests will certainly be ready to party!
Mardi Gras Masquerade Table Decorations
With a large crowd, you'll want to have assigned seating. Have personalized seating cards printed to coordinate with your invitations and décor.
Decorate your tables with purple, green, and or gold linens! Top the tables with gold paper products or gilded china and the rooms will sparkle! Beaded wrist bracelets double as napkin rings. Cover all the tables with lots of colorful Mardi Gras beads and Mardi Gras confetti.
Mardi Gras offers creative and lively centerpiece opportunities. Here are some of our favorites:
- A large bouquet of feathered and sequined masks.
- Or alternate a Mardi Gras feather mask centerpiece, and a sequin mask centerpiece on the tables.
- Top off the centerpieces with balloons in purple, green and gold.
Name the food areas with a combination of Mardi Gras terms and your company name. So you could have “Smith Bank Voodoo You Love” or “Smith Bank Bourbon Street.” Have the beverage area be “Bourbon Street” and the buffet area “Cajun Kingdom.”
Mardi Gras Games and Activities
There are so many exciting activities you can plan, so pick and choose depending on your budget. Here are a few fun things your guests can do to while away the evening:
Have a costume parade and contest! Whoever has the most elaborate and creative costume is the winner!
All dressed up and ta-daaa! Capture it on film. Your guests will love a chance to strike a pose. Set up a photo-op area titled “Big Cheeezy” with lots of masks and beads. Set personalized cameras on the tables will give guests a chance to get to know their tablemates and have fun taking pictures. You can even set up a Mardi Gras photo op, available with a male and female jester.
Another fun activity that you can arrange is "Hidden Treasure." Divide everyone into two teams, and have a treasure hunt for gold Doubloons. You can hide a bunch of stuff with or without giving the teams clues as to the whereabouts of the "treasure." The team that finds the most "treasure" wins a prize!
Fortune Tellers, tattoo artists, strolling magicians and/or musicians. It's all up to you. Just about anything goes on Bourbon Street! Decorate each activity center or food area with custom Mardi Gras banners. For example, title the fortune-telling area “Voodoo You Love”. Don't forget to check out these great Mardi Gras games.
Mardi Gras Masquerade Party Favors and Prizes
Don't forget a fun personalized Mardi Gras theme favor. How about a mint tin that matches your event invitation? Just set them in a basket by the door with a little sign letting your guests know to take one home.
If you had valet parking for your event you can have the valets hang Mardi Gras beads from their rear view mirrors. It will be a fun surprise that reminds them of what a wonderful time they had at your event!
Have a wonderful time at your Mardi Gras Masquerade Ball!
