Jimmy and Margaret's 25th Wedding Anniversary

Hi, it's Jimmy the web guy here at Party411. The Party Girl is letting me write a theme since my wife Margaret and I are getting ready to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary! Clearly, my wife has qualified for sainthood, so I better make this a special silver wedding celebration.

For 25 years, our life has revolved around friends and family, so I guess we'll have to have two parties. (Poor us!) First, the family. Mom will take us out to dinner with the rest of the brothers and sisters. Not too many people, only 20 or so. We'll get a small private room and decorate it simply with balloons. Margaret's favorite flower is the rose, and it's a silver wedding anniversary, so maybe some silver glitter roses balloons. They are very cool. We'll have The Custom Queen put together a caricature for our personalized candy bar. Contact her if you need some help. We'll use the same caricature to create a custom invitation for the "friends" party. We're a loud bunch, so we'll probably overeat, over drink, and make too much noise, but it will be nothing like the "party."

A silver wedding anniversary party comes at a great time in a person's life. Your kids are old enough to enjoy the festivities, you've made some great friends to share the moment with, and you're still young enough to have a really fun time. Our group loves music, so we'll create a CD for the event (Motown rules!) and we'll call on the Custom Queen again to make a personalized CD label we can put on the CDs and pass them out as favors. That and a personalized candy bar and the favors are covered.

Decorations are simple. I'm a gangster at heart, so I'm going with a silver fedora, and Margaret is there with a silver sequin hat. We'll probably never leave the dance floor so it's important we look cool out there. We'll probably go with some glow jewelry for effect. It's inexpensive and it's fun.

We're not a fancy group, so food will be simple and we'll use paper plates since I can't let my wife wash dishes the day after her silver wedding anniversary (and I'm personally averse to kitchen work). Knowing our bunch, we'll need quite a few beverage napkins, and I think we'll be set.
