2010 World Cup Viewing Party

Unless you live in a cave you are aware that the 2010 World Cup is upon us. What makes a perfect 2010 World Cup Celebration? Food, fun, friends and the games are the key ingredients. So beat your drums and put on your jersey because we’re going to throw a World Cup party that is going to make you sing Ole!

world cup Party Invitations
Send a colorful and fun personalized soccer invitation to invite everyone to this once-every-four-years event! Specify to your guests that you are implementing a dress code, face paint and jerseys are all acceptable, and you will see how much fun everyone has dressing up for the party! Throw some confetti in the envelope for an extra festive touch.

For an unforgettable invite, send these inflatable soccer balls! Just write all of the party information on the soccer balls and deliver. Your guests will have a blast when they blow up the soccer balls not expecting a party invitation! And it will double as a party favor. Tell them to touch up on their skills before they come over!

world cup Decorations and Party Supplies
The World Cup fun should start at the front door! Start with a personalized soccer banner at the front of the house to lead everyone to the party! Add soccer balloons to each side and you have the perfect decoration to let everyone know where the party is!

As the guests walk in to the party room greet them with a life size cutout of the guest of honor. Here are a few great choices:
Add a speech bubble for extra fun! You can have them saying "Olé!" or "Goooooooooaaaaaaaalllllll!" Any way you do it your guests will be in the World Cup mindset and ready to cheer! Just make sure your guests keep their cool around the referee.

If you can make it to South Africa then your decorations are set, but for those who can’t make the trip you’ll want to transform your room into an arena, yes? Get ready to decorate with perfect colors and supplies. Here are a few of our favorites:
  • Upper Deck Stadium Scene and a Lower Deck Scene – just because you can’t make it to South Africa, you can still make it feel like South Africa.
  • Soccer Stadium Props – a great way to decorate other parts of your house. Perhaps the net over the bathroom door?
  • Soccer Ball Balloons – you can put these anywhere and they will spice up your room. Batch them with black and white balloons.
  • Inflatable Soccer Balls – if your guests forgot their invites leave these lying around. Your guests will have a blast doing their best Pele impersonation!
These decorations will bring the World Cup to your home!

world cup Decorations and Menu
Don't forget to decorate your tables too! There are some wonderful decorations available to spice up your World Cup field, I mean buffet, bar and dinner tables. Some of our favorite choices include:
Use World Cup soccer paper goods for your food because how many times will you be able to eat off of a soccer ball? Now is your chance!

The World Cup is all about nations coming together and competing. We like the idea of having a variety of food for your World Cup celebration. If you’re having a party for a specific match, then pair up food for those two countries. If you just want to sit back and enjoy the game then serve your favorite food from everywhere.

Remember though the food needs to be easy to eat and to serve. There are no advertisements, therefore no time to go grab snacks. Plan to eat a fuller meal during the break. Dips will work well during the game.

world cup games and activities
Sit back and enjoy the games. You know they will be entertaining even if you have no idea who is playing. Of course just sitting back and watching T.V. is fun, but we suggest you take it up a notch. We suggest providing your guests with soccer ball maracas so they can make as much noise as possible, for as long as possible.  If you really want to be authentic, give your guests air horns and a kit of neon noisemakers

Have guests test out their goalie skills and striker skills with the inflatable soccer ball. There are nets in the Soccer Stadium Props, which would set the scene for the showdown between guests. Give a gold medal to the winner, you know they’ll love it and try even harder.

world cup Party Favors
Send your guests home with a sweet treat from your party. A scrumptious milk or dark chocolate candy bar with a personalized World Cup wrapper is a delicious souvenir for a wonderful party.

Another fun party favor is a felt soccer hat. Your guests will wear their hats for the entirety of the Cup. For another bonus add soccer ball beads so your guests will be glowing with soccer fever.

Have a great time at your 2010 World Cup party!
