All Star Baseball Bar MitzvahThis theme is perfect for a child who loves baseball. It can be tweaked a bit though and used for any sport played in a stadium!
Baseball Bar Mitzvah Invitations
Let everyone know they are invited to a game at [Your Last Name] stadium! Use a baseball theme invitation for the party, inserted with the formal Bar or Bat Mitzvah invitation. You can also send it after your formal invitation is sent.
Or use a great photo ticket invitation with your child's face or a personalized ticket invitation to invite your guests! What could be better than a ticket to the game? You can even write that they need the ticket for entry to the party and have someone standing at the door as a ticket taker. You can even rent turnstiles for your guests to walk through.
A caricature or semi-custom caricature invitation is also a great option for such a special party. They are completely personalized for your child and are great for centerpieces, sign in boards, seating cards and other decorations at your party.
Baseball Theme Decorations and Party Supplies
Greet guests with a lifesize cutout of your child dressed as baseball player with a speech bubble welcoming everyone to the game. A fun welcome sign can say, "You've reached 1st Base ... you're at (Child's Name)'s Bar/Bat Mitzvah."
In the cocktail area, have the wait staff dressed as baseball players walking around holding stadium "boxes" filled with peanuts, popcorn boxes, and crackerjacks! Ask if they can all bring a baseball hat from their favorite team or provide hats for the staff to wear. Imprinted cocktail napkins are great for cocktails and dessert at a Bar Mitzvah. Why not try something witty, like, "You can't bat with crumbs on your face! [Child's Name]'s Bar/Bat Mitzvah (include the date)." Or choose a fun baseball cocktail napkin.
Fill the cocktail area with bouquets of Mylar baseball balloons mixed with latex balloons in colors to match your party. Create them yourself with helium or hire a balloon company. Any balloon company can help you create these bouquets or fun baseball theme balloon arches for your party.
Serve adults drinks in light up pilsner glasses.
- The first drink for the kids can be served with glowing straws.
- Don't forget plenty of water for your stadium. Bottles with personalized labels are great at each place, passed out by your "vendors" or at the bars.
- We LOVE these paper baseball lanterns hanging over a bar.
sign in and seating
- Use a baseball theme sign in board or a baseball theme sign in book for a wonderful memento! You may want to have a bouquet of balloons at this area to draw people over!
- Use a baseball theme seating card showing the name of the table where the guest is sitting, the guest's name and table number. Attach a fun baseball keychain or LED baseball magnet to the cards
- Or write their table number directly on a baseball cowbell. You can also assign people to different teams (their tables) and create a roster sheet for everyone. They can use this to find their table!
We love to draw people's attention to the dance floor. A great way to do that is by hanging a large personalized baseball party banner over the DJ. Try fun wording, like "YOU'RE AT "HOME" AT (CHILD'S NAME)'S BAR/BAT MITZVAH!"
Baseball Table Decorations
Instead of just using table numbers, you can name each table after a different baseball stadium and have the kids sitting in the DUGOUT! Or name the tables after different areas in the stadium and on the field, like home plate, 1st base, etc. or even different baseball teams.
For linens at your party, alternate red and blue with white napkins. If the party center you are using only has white linens, see if they can get you the red and blue napkins. Don't forget to decorate your napkins! Empty cracker jacks boxes and cut off the top and bottom. Use this as a napkin ring. Then serve the cracker jacks in bowls on each table. For a simpler napkin ring, wrap baseball beads around the napkins.
For a fun centerpiece, use a popcorn bowl filled with popcorn, with pennants and balloons coming out of the center of the bowl. We love using hats for centerpieces - they are inexpensive, fit perfectly, and we guarantee your guests will end up wearing them later in the evening. A baseball hat with a small hole in the top is perfect for balloons. Or, have a hat on each table that represents the team the table is named for with balloons attached to the hat. Instead of candles on the tables, choose personalized mini tabletop lanterns with your child's photo on all four sides. The all come with LED candles and look great surrounding a centerpiece.
Put one baseball theme personalized camera on each table for your guests to use for pictures! They can take them home if you like, or leave them so you can see what great pictures everyone took during the evening. Then print up a ballpark-style "program" but with the Bar/Bat Mitzvah celebrant on the cover listing items about him and the special people helping him celebrate. It's fun at each place and your guests will love reading it that evening.
