Bachelorette Spa Party Ideas

Nothing makes a woman feel better than a day spent relaxing at the spa with her every whim catered. With so many different body parts vying for attention, it might be difficult to focus on only one area. Our suggestion is to gather together the bachelorette and her closest friends to spend an entire day (better yet, an entire weekend) sampling all of the services that your favorite spa has to offer.

Start with a scalp massage, a facial, and then perhaps a total body herbal wrap. Don't forget those soothing mud baths! If you're feeling adventurous, you might want to go for an all over body massage, and maybe even a manicure and a pedicure. Obviously, this is not the typical bachelorette party, but it still focuses on bringing the bride-to-be and her friends together for one final relaxing "hurrah" while she is still an unmarried woman. We have only one request if you decide to throw a "Beauty Building Bachelorette Party"...can you put our names on the guest list too?

You can have this party at a spa, or invite traveling aestheticians, manicurists, massage therapists and the like to your location for an on-site spa-fest.  Here are some more great spa party ideas.

Bachelorette Party Invitations
You invitation sets the tone of the party, so make sure it is fabulous! You can't go wrong with a personalized bachelorette spa party invitation from Party411.

Or send personalized photo ticket invitations. You pick a color, add a picture, and choose the wording. The light blue ticket is perfect for a spa day!

With the invitation you should each guest a sample product from the spa, with a list of services attached to the sample. You can also mail each guest a very formal invitation for a day at the spa, (white and blue, or white and green are nice colors to use for the invitations).

If there are very few people coming to the party, or if money is no object, send each guest a white cotton wrap to wear while at the spa (have them monogrammed if you really want to go all out). Accompanying the wrap is a spa brochure, with details of the party on the back.

Or send the guests matching t-shirts with a picture of the bachelorette on the front, and the details of the party on the back. Make sure the picture on the front is a captivating picture of the bride-to-be (whether she is 4 years old or in her current state), with a speech bubble that says, "I'm getting married and, I need to relax! Won't you help me?"

Bachelorette Party Decorations and Party Supplies
Ask the spa if you can hang crepe paper in the bride's colors, and maybe a personalized bachelorette party banner. Just realize that they might not agree to this, but when you're relaxing you'll have your eyes closed anyway, and you will hardly even notice. Other decorations might be difficult if you are at a location that is opposed to this. It doesn't hurt to ask, though.

If you choose to have this at your own location, create surroundings that are relaxing and pleasant-use soothing music, subdued lighting and create comfortable places to recline.

You can set up a table with flashing drink glasses on it. Serve champagne with strawberries, sangria, or fruit daiquiris. Add a dash of mirth by placing a custom cutout of the groom in a bathing suit near your bar!

Bachelorette Party Menu
Depending on where you go, the spa service might include hors d'oeuvres like cheese and crackers. Some places serve fruit as well. If the spa includes a restaurant, see if you can order fixed meals for everyone. Some spas will allow you to bring in a catered meal if it is contained and mess-free.

If you have this spa at a home or in a personal setting, choose a menu that is light in nature. Include light snacking type food like veggies and dip, pizza, finger sandwiches, soup, cold meat salads, cold pasta salads and the like. Don't forget desserts. If you are indulging your bodies, you definitely must indulge your palate. Choose cookies, finger desserts, chocolate truffles and other things. Fresh fruit is nice, too.

Bachelorette Party Activities and Games
Before the party begins, have everyone meet somewhere to get to know each other a little better before the trip to the spa (play the TP Mystery Game below). When you get to the spa, there probably won't be time, or a need for games/activities (besides the services that the spa offers).

TP Mystery Game: As guests arrive, hold out a roll of toilet paper and ask each guest to tear off whatever length of toilet paper they think they'll need. Don't explain what it's for but you might say something like "We're short of TP tonight, and I wanted everyone to have some before we ran out. At some point in the party, gather the guests and measure the bride's bust, hips, leg length, or whatever with the strips of toilet paper. The guest with the closest length of TP, wins.

Bachelorette Party Favors
Personalized bachelorette party mint and candy tins make a great favor. You get to personalize a cute tin, and everyone loves candy. How can you go wrong? Or hand out chocolate bars wrapped with personalized candy bar wrappers. It's another sweet treat everyone will enjoy!

You can also make up a small bag with "spa" theme gifts in it:

  • Votive candle
  • Travel sized lotion
  • Nail polish and file
  • Bath salts
  • Small gift certificate to the spa

The most important thing is to give the bride to be a relaxing day with her girls. Have fun!
