Christmas Birthday Party

If you or your loved one has a birthday around Christmas you know the birthday is sometimes left behind in order to celebrate Christmas. Well, this year celebrate them both with a fabulous Christmas birthday party!

Christmas Birthday Party Invitations
A Christmas Birthday party works well at someone's home. Christmas decorations are already on hand and everyone will feel right at home!

You can choose from all of our birthday theme invitations or Christmas invitations for this party. I'd go with a Christmas invitation and make sure the wording is for a birthday party. The candy cane invitation works well since it's wrapped with a bow!

If you're looking for a one of a kind invitation (since this is a one of a kind party) use a caricature invitation of the birthday boy or girl standing in front of a Christmas tree with a birthday cake and a pile of presents nearby. You can even add Santa helping blow out the candles.

And, we always think that Christmas confetti is a nice touch to add to your invitation.

Christmas Birthday Decorations and Party Supplies
Greet your guests with a life-size cutout of the birthday boy or girl dressed as Santa (or Mrs. Claus), with a speech bubble thanking everyone for celebrating his (or her) birthday!

You probably already have a lot of great Christmas decorations around the house. You'll want to add some birthday decorations and mix them with these Christmas decorations. Use a Christmas tree in the entry to the party. Instead of garland, decorate the tree with birthday banners.

You'll also want to add bouquets of balloons around the room. Again, mix up Christmas and Birthday theme balloons.

Table Decorations
The possibilities are endless when setting a table for a Christmas birthday party. You should mix together birthday theme paper goods with Christmas paper goods. For example, use a birthday theme tablecover that has bright colors and says "Happy Birthday" with red and green paper plates and napkins. Or choose a Christmas theme tablecloth and use birthday napkins and plates. Mix it up for a fun birthday look!

For your centerpiece on half of the tables wrap boxes in birthday wrapping paper and add Christmas color balloons off the top. For the rest of the tables, wrap boxes in Christmas wrapping paper and add birthday theme balloons.

Or choose a personalized birthday centerpiece with photos of the celebrant and add balloons or flowers coming out of the base.

Of course you'll need a cake for this party. (It IS a birthday) How about singing Christmas carols while blowing out the candles? And, serve that cake with eggnog. Cake and eggnog - a perfect combination, don't you think?

Entertainment
Try a traditional birthday party game...with a twist! Get a piñata and fill it with candy and toys. Don't forget a piñata blindfold and bat and you've got yourself a game!

Before the party, you can also ask your guests to write Christmas carols about the birthday boy or girl. These can be read (or sung) at the party.

Favors

Just because everyone will be bringing birthday presents doesn't mean they shouldn't also go home with a small gift. Wish them a Merry Christmas and thank them for coming with a personalized candy bar wrapper or a personalized candy and mint tin filled with candy or mints.

Happy Birthday and Happy Holidays!
