Christina's Fiesta Party

Several months ago, you wrote with some ideas for my Mexican fiesta party.

As thanks, I'll provide you with a couple of ideas that worked for me:

First off, I bought Mexican lights (chili peppers, cactus) and hung them throughout the house, including over the front door.

We had an ice maker that made fantastic margaritas (a little pricey, but a good investment).

We put pepper confetti everywhere, and used dried peppers (they come in packages-cheap) as confetti.  I had a Mexican table runner (but you could buy any bright cheap cloth) and maracas on the table.

I bought cheap cactus plants and put candles in with them.  For my dips, I placed little red peppers on the top.  Mexican music playing...We also bought very cheap sombreros for the party guests of honor.

It didn't end of happening, but we planned to put candles in our Jell-O shots for the cake..We also printed off Mexican theme pictures from Microsoft Word and placed them throughout the house.  Also, we had T-shirts with Mexican sayings printed up (less than $12 each from a local printing agency).
