Let Party411™ help you plan a

Freaky Friday

Party Type: Other
Invitation: use black construction paper to make simple cards; write "Freaky Friday" on front of card using a glue bottle --it will dry semi-transparent and have a textured feel; on the inside of the card, just attach some white paper and write down all the info needed
Decor: This was a pre-teen girl's sleepover party for no special occasion except that the movie "Freaky Friday" was opening that weekend and I wanted to take some girls along to see it. Any decor will do-I just used regular party decor--balloons, streamers, etc. but I had the guests decorate the area themselves when they arrived; they also all had to arrive in their pj's--
Food: mostly snack-type stuff with weird names; "dog treats"(hotdogs or sausages in crescent rolls); "sea food surprise" (gummi fish in a fishbowl of blue jello); "ants on a log"(celery sticks with peanut butter and raisins); "green eggs and ham"
Music: Freaky Friday soundtrack, or any upbeat popular music--we used the music as background music, as well as having a 'freaky dance' contest; you could also use spooky music just for fun
Highlight: the Freaky Scavenger Hunt was fun--the girls went house to house, asking our neighbors for strange items to collect then came back for a show and tell; we stayed up late watching the original version of "Freaky Friday"; the girls camped out in our backyard in tents
