Jungle party

Party Type: Birthday
Invitation: Elephant head with large ears (2 shades of grey) crazy eyes, and tusk made of white foam. Invitation is made in two(3) pieces. The second piece white paper, with party invitation printed on it. The invitation is framed by a drawing of a jungle scene (bambo trees, monkey, snake), the scene is spot colored to give depth. The third piece (grey shaped like the first and second)is glued to the back of the second. All three pieces are held together with a 10mm jump ring.
Decor: Vines hanging from the back patio, made of long green paper mache with silk leaves attached to them, along with regular silk vines (found at 99 cent store)and 3 different color green streamers. I wanted to block the view to the back yead (the jungle). There was a location in the yard that did not have grass growing and I did not want the children to step on the dirt or play there, so we got caution tape and made a sign that read "Caution quick sand" and put painting tarps down and sprayed them with a standstone texture paint. We also put caution tape where the rose bushes were with a sign that said "Caution man eating plants". The children were to go on a safari (with/canteen, lantern, flashlight and binoculars - we provided these (bought at Target in the 1.00 section), but first they needed to crawl thru a cave, so we created a cave out of a large refrigerator box we saved.
