Titanic Movie party
| Party Type: |
Other |
| Invitation: |
We invited people by phone. |
| Decor: |
We decorated our apartment to look like the inside of the steerage portion of Titanic. We made portholes with scenes of the ocean and sky. Some were made to look like the boat was sinking. We put "waves" made of blue construction paper on our entertainment system.
We also gave each guest a "titanic survival pack" in a ziploc baggie of course, so it could float. Each survival pack contained a whistle, 1 pair of child- sized water wings, a Jack Dawson sketch pad, life saver candies, tissue (for the sad parts,) and we had a door prize for a plastic version of "the heart of the ocean." |
| Food: |
We served iceberg shaped vanilla frozen yogurt surrounded by fresh blueberries to look like the surrounding water. |
| Music: |
We started with the Titanic soundtrack, but when everyone arrived, we started the movie. |
| Highlight: |
We invited only adults and the funniest thing happened: When the Titanic began to sink everyone instinctually began to blow up their water wings and put them on without saying a word to each other. The craziest part was watching adults, especially the men, put on child sized water wings. |
