What about creating a "suggestion box". You put her picture on the top of the wood box and cut a slit where her mouth is and people can jott down little things and put them in the box. Then later you can make her read them....
You could decorate it with pictures, post cards, tickets...or maybe call it an idea box - or "My mother (or her name) once told me...". You could pre print the cards and have them have her picture on them and leave a place for their comment.
I really like the idea of making cards with "My momma once told me..." or if you have other guests have two stacks of these cards each with a different picture or theme. Take her head and put in on Martha Stewart's body or one with her head and a dot dot bubble for the saying on each pre-printed card.
