Mardi Gras Masquerade Ball

They don't call it the Big Easy for nothing! If your next corporate event calls for mega fun, creating the sights and sounds of Mardi Gras is big and easy! Picture if you will…your guests celebrating in the streets of the French Quarter…Bourbon Street…colorful masks and elegant costumes…aromatic spicy Cajun cuisine wafting through the air…the dizzying beat of New Orleans jazz…strands of sparkling beaded necklaces and coins everywhere. Not just for Fat Tuesday anymore, Mardi Gras can be a wildly spectacular event celebrated any time of the year!

Mardi Gras Masquerade Invitations

Imagine their delight when your employees and guests receive elegant feather-trimmed black mask invitations to the gala event of the year—Mardi Gras Masquerade Ball! Everyone will be delighted to get such a special invitation!

Mardi Gras Masquerade Decorations and Party Supplies

Welcome guests to the French Quarter through a magnificent Mardi Gras rendezvous scene and greet them with the sounds of a Dixieland jazz band playing in the background.  The set includes three fabulous New Orleans style buildings and a lighted arch, featuring a wrought iron design reminiscent of Bourbon Street.

Purple, green, and gold are the traditional colors of Mardi Gras display them throughout the party room(s). Add a festive glow to your corporate party with jazz musician wall murals, and mask swirls suspended from the ceiling.

There's a huge selection of Mardi Gras beads and masks to choose from. Make sure you have plenty of beads, hats and masks on hand for your guests to wear. Mix and match decorations or order Mardi Gras decorating kits.

The French Quarter wouldn't be as easy, and sleazy and fun without a Tattoo Parlor. There are great companies that provide Henna and Airbrush tattoos. Check Google for your local listings. Jazz up the music area or dance floor with Jazz player standups.

Get the entire office involved in decorating their department. Great for teambuilding! Provide Mardi Gras decorations for every employee. Then hold a contest to see which department can turn their office into a true Mardi Gras haven.

Mardi Gras Masquerade Table Decorations

With a large crowd, you'll want to have assigned seating. Creations For You can design personalized seating cards to coordinate with your invitations and décor. Colorful Mardi Gras glow necklaces make fun additions to your seating cards. Your guests will enjoy adding to the celebratory sights and sounds of the evening!

Decorate your tables with purple, green, and or gold linens! Top the tables with gold paper products or gilded china and the rooms will sparkle! Beaded wrist bracelets double as napkin rings. Cover all the tables with lots of colorful Mardi Gras beads, coin necklaces and Mardi Gras confetti.

Mardi Gras offers creative and lively centerpiece opportunities. One of my favorites is to create a large bouquet of feathered and sequined masks. Or alternate a Mardi Gras feather mask centerpiece, and a sequin mask centerpiece on the tables.

Then top off the centerpieces with Mardi Gras balloon clusters (and include one large Mardi Gras mask Mylar balloon in the center) for height. Add a few Mardi Gras candles around the base and you are all set!

Decorate the food and beverage area with extra large comedy and tragedy masks, perfect for photos.  Name the food areas with a combination of Mardi Gras terms and your company name.   So you could have “Smith Bank Voodoo You Love” or “Smith Bank Bourbon Street.”  Have the beverage area be “Bourbon Street” and the buffet area “Cajun Kingdom.” 

Mardi Gras Games and Activities

There are so many exciting activities you can plan, so pick and choose depending on your budget. Here are a few fun things your guests can do to while away the evening:

Have a costume parade and contest! Whoever has the most elaborate and creative costume is the winner!
 

All dressed up and ta-daaa! Capture it on film. Your guests will love a chance to strike a pose. Set up a photo-op area titled “Big Cheeezy” with lots of masks and beads.  Set personalized cameras on the tables will give guests a chance to get to know their tablemates and have fun taking pictures. You can even set up a Mardi Gras photo op, available with a male and female jester.

Another fun activity that you can arrange is "Hidden Treasure." Divide everyone into two teams, and have a treasure hunt for gold Doubloons. You can hide a bunch of stuff with or without giving the teams clues as to the whereabouts of the "treasure." The team that finds the most "treasure" wins a prize!

Fortune Tellers, tattoo artists, strolling magicians and/or musicians. It's all up to you. Just about anything goes on Bourbon Street! Decorate each activity center or food area with custom Mardi Gras banners. For example, title the fortune-telling area “Voodoo You Love”.

Mardi Gras Masquerade Party Favors and Prizes

If you want to go all out why not give out personalized Mardi Gras mask t-shirts? The are compressed into a great mask shape you they are easy for guests to table home.  Just set them in a basket by the door with a little sign letting your guests know to take one home.
