A Party411.com Corporate Event Theme Party

Ideas, Invitations, Party Supplies, Games and More For Your Corporate Event

You Are the Magic!

An Employee Celebration

Your employees have done their jobs well and you want to thank them. What better way than to have an event patting them on the back!

Magic Party Invitations

Create invitations that spread the magic. The options are limitless.  However, consider the budget and size of the company first.   A company with several hundred employees requires an invitation that is easy to deliver and gets everyone’s attention.  One option is to develop an interactive online invitation emailed to each employee.  Create a magic trick online where each employee has to figure out how to get the bunny out of the magic hat.  Once the bunny jumps out of the hat the invitation pops up.  Or, create a magic themed digital invitation and email it to all employees. Coordinate with the graphic design and IT departments to make these options a reality.

Another suggestion is to select a personalized magic themed invitation from Party411 or purchase pre-made invitations.  Add true magical flair to the invitations by hiring magicians to hand out the invitations to each employee. Have the magician do some tricks, just as long as they don’t involve cutting your employees in half!

Welcome Area

At the entrance, welcome guests to the party with balloon archways, silver shimmer columns, and stars.  Make the entrance sparkle with all of the celestial decorations you can find.

Have your greeters wear wizard hats. At the registration table, place a welcome sign (if you need help with signage Party411 can help. Ask the Party Girl)

 WELCOME! You are the
MAGIC OF XYZ CORPORATION
(or the organization).

In the welcome area place a magician photo-op for everyone to have their picture taken looking extra magical!

For place cards, attach flashing necklaces , rings or any other glow item. To do this, simply punch a hole in the corner of the seating card and attach the item with a ribbon.  Or, you can attach magic tricks.  Party411.com also has a custom magic theme place card - we'll even fill in the names for you!

The registration table is also a great place to have the president or CEO welcome guests and hand out any company gifts.

Magic Party Decorations

This is a celebration!  Decorate the party room with magical balloons, including stars, suns, moons, and more. Then fill the room with magical entertainment:

  • Caricaturist who draws your guests being pulled out of a top hat by a rabbit dressed in tails

  • Tarot card reader

  • Palm reader

  • Fortune teller complete with crystal ball

  • Strolling magician

  • Balloonologist

Create different areas with signs and matching decorations.  One area can be the  “XYZ Company/Organization Fortune Lounge” with fortune tellers, tarot card and palm readers.  Another area can have “XYZ Company/Organization Magical Balloons” and the “XYZ Company/Organization Spellbound Caricaturist.”

Set up a dance floor with magicians and wizard cutouts.  String magic hats to the ceiling above the dance floor along with silver stars and lights.

For the buffet and hors d’oeuvres areas, grace the tables with balloon filled top hats and crystal balls.

Tabletop

Create tables full of magic!  Scatter the tables with magic tricks, magic paper games, confetti, magic and metallic wands.  Or, better yet - have everything spilling out of a Black Glitter Top Hat.  Give everyone a magical theme mug for a keepsake and to drink their magical potion.

Centerpieces

Since you are celebrating the employees, at the center of the table place a card thanking everyone for their hard work.  This can be done on card stock or you can use a personalized centerpiece.

For a truly magical centerpiece, place a small vase inside of an upside down top hat and fill with flowers.  Or you can fill the top hats with balloon arrangements and a toy bunny with a wand coming out of the hat.

Magic Party Games

An important activity for this theme is to give out awards to stellar employees.  It builds morale and shows employees that they are a valuable part of the team.  Award those who have made an impact or have done something that is truly amazing.

Guests will have plenty to do with all of the magicians, dancing, and fortune tellers.  If you are looking for some fun games check out our game guide.

Magic Party Favors

Personalized candy bars make great favors.  Everyone loves chocolate and they are customizable to include a personal message and company logo.

Another idea is to give everyone a book on magic tricks or the latest best seller The Secret by Rhonda Byrne to inspire everyone at your company/organization. Use a mini silver stars gift bag to hold your favor.

Abracadabra! It's a Great Benefit Party.

Magic is in the giving.  Why not make it a Magical Celebration for others in need.  Turn this party into a Magical Benefit.  Here are some suggestions to make it a magical benefit.

  • Announce on the invitations that the party is going to be a benefit for a specific organization.  Make sure to include information about the organization and its mission.

  • This is all about creating magic in the lives of others and one way to do this is through donations.  A common way to raise money is through a silent auction or Chinese raffle. To make the auction truly MAGICAL collect items that relate to the magic theme, like a trip for two to Magic Kingdom (now we’re really dreaming), an autograph of Magic Jordan, or magic lessons.  All proceeds should go to the charity of choice.

  • If the organization is related to helping kids, one idea is to donate all of the magic toys to the organization.  This is great for an orphanage or children’s hospital.  Depending on the organization, you might be able to bring the party to the kids! It may take some work, but it will make an impact on the kids.

  • Have everyone bring an item to donate.  (Coordinate with the organization to see what they need the most. )

  • Instead of giving out favors, donate the cost of the favors to the organization.  For each of your guests make a card that says “Creating Magic for XYZ organization! We are donating the cost of favors to XYZ organization.”  Or, you could make donation cards for each employee to give to the charity.  “I (person’s name) pledge to create magic for XYZ Organization and all those they serve with this amount ____.”

  • Abracadabra, when the company/organization has helped all of those people, it’s truly magical, so CELEBRATE!
