Live in Concert

A Bar or Bat Mitzvah Theme

Welcome Area/Sign

Have a sign at the entrance saying:

(Child's Name)
LIVE In Concert
Brought to you by (Child's Last Name) Productions
Coke and Subway
(or choose your child's favorite beverage and fast food place)

Add the soft drink and fast food logos to the sign to make it more realistic.

Have a lifesize Rock Star cutout of the Bar/Bat Mitzvah as if he/she is performing in concert. Show a big spotlight hitting down on the performer and show the caricature against a great set in the background.

Have cut-outs of scalpers selling tickets to the concert (because, of course, it's sold out). One to two cut-outs should be placed on the way to the adult area; the others leading to the kids' area.

Have an arrow over the doorway pointing into the dance floor/ballroom so the kids know where to go. Have a sign above the arrow saying:

ALL KIDS … (CHILD'S NAME): LIVE IN CONCERT!

Sign-in Area

The sign-in board can be a cut-out of a drum set. On the front of the drums is the Bar/Bat Mitzvah's name in a semi-circle. Have people sign on the drum skins. Have a bouquet of balloons next to the sign-in board.

Or have a 3D sign in book personalized for your child.  (Check out the music designs!)

Seating Cards

What else to use but --- Tickets to the Concert (combine them perhaps with concert ear plugs).

People would sit in a Section (i.e., Section 104). Depending on the room, perhaps these section numbers can be hung above the tables. Each ticket would then say, for example, Section 104, Seat A1. Each seat at the tables can be numbered 1-10 just like at a real concert.

A handclapper with cymbals can be attached to the seating card "Ticket" (perfect to applaud the Bar/Bat Mitzvah), or the handclapper can be placed at each person's seat at the tables.

Seating Card Sign:

Adults: Concert club seats have been reserved for you in Sections 101-121

Kids: Your seats are on the "floor" to the left of the stage.

Have balloons here too!

Tables:

• Centerpieces/Adults: Cut-out of the Bar/Bat Mitzvah boy/girl seated at a drum set with balloons or florals on one out of two tables. On every other table, use a small drum with balloons attached.
• Centerpieces/Kids: Create a boom box base with balloons coming out of it.

Other options: votive candles, candy (chocolate music notes)

DJ/Band Area: Backdrop sign: (CHILD'S NAME) IN CONCERT

Personalized Cameras: personalized Bar and Bat Mitzvah cameras on each table to take pictures of your guests singing at the seats!

Party Favors

T-shirts with a line drawing of the Bar/Bat Mitzvah at a drum set wearing a headset saying: "I saw (CHILD'S FIRST AND LAST NAME) in Concert." On the back of the shirt, a list of cities

Print up Newsletter: (CHILD'S NAME) IN CONCERT

Party Fun

Have a caricaturist draw in the guest at the microphone against a backdrop that says … "(CHILD'S NAME) IN CONCERT!"

These caricatures can be put on chocolate CD's (the caricaturist can draw on pre-cut label paper).
