Personalized Bar and Bat Mitzvah Pens - a great favor!

If the Bar or Bat Mitzvah falls during Chanukah ……

Welcome Area

Welcome your guests with a giant dreidel floating on a ¾ foam core board with an easel. Don't forget to have the child's name emblazoned on the sign welcoming everyone to "(Child's Name)'s Chanukah Mitzvah".

Sign-in Board

Use a standard 3'x4' board on an easel with the child's name written across the top

Or use the dreidel (mentioned above) for all to sign

Or have people write their congratulations in a message book

Seating Cards

Use 5" Chanukah kaleidoscopes tagged off with the guest's name and table number

The Party Room

You can section the room off: one area for adults; the other for kids.

A sign that says:

THIS WAY TO…DREIDEL SECTION - KIDS' ONLY
We make 'em, you spin 'em

The adult area can be designated as the MACCABEE SECTION

Cocktail Napkins: Use alternating blue and white. Have them imprinted as:

A Chanukah "Mitzvah"
Child's Name
Date

Tables:

  • Centerpieces/Adults: Gift boxes wrapped with Chanukah paper. Build these in a tower with a spray of blue and white balloons attached to the top of the tower.
  • Centerpieces/Kids: Fabulous "crazee" balloon towers in white and blue. Tie a bag of "gelt" to each kid's napkin.
  • Use blue tablecloths over white ones (make sure they go to the floor); use alternating blue and white napkins
  • Other options: votive candles, candy (chocolate dreidels over drizzle popcorn), foil-wrapped chocolate gelt, and confetti placed around tablecloth

DJ/Band Backdrop: Have a lit 4x12 sign saying: A Chanukah "Mitzvah". Add a giant dreidel to hang over the stage.

Candlelighting

Have an oversized menorah cut from foam core, with enough extra candle spaces to get to 13 plus one for the Bar/Bat Mitzvah

Party Favors

Goody bags for the kids containing Chanukah yoyos, paddle ball, kick balls, gelt, dreidels. Customized candy bars work well, too.

Have fun, from the Party Girl and the Party-ettes!
