All-Star Stadium Bar/Bat MitzvahA Bar or Bat Mitzvah Theme
This theme is perfect for a child you loves baseball. It can be tweaked a bit though and used for any sport played in a stadium!
Baseball Bar Mitzvah Invitations
Or use a great photo ticket invitation with your child's face or a personalized ticket invitation to invite your guests! What could be better than a ticket to the game? You can even write that they need the ticket for entry to the party and have someone standing at the door as a ticket taker. You can even rent turnstiles for your guests to walk under.
A caricature or semi-custom caricature invitation is also a great option for such a special party. They are completely personalized for your child and are great for centerpieces, sign in boards, seating cards and other decorations at your party.
Welcome and Cocktail Area
In the cocktail area, have the wait staff dressed baseball players walking around holding stadium "boxes" filled with peanuts, popcorn boxes, crackerjacks! Ask if they can all bring a baseball hat from their favorite team or provide hats for the staff to wear.
Fill the cocktail area with bouquets of Mylar baseball balloons mixes with latex balloons in colors to match your party. Create them yourself with helium or hire a balloon company. Any balloon company can help you create these bouquets or fun baseball theme balloon arches for your party.
Imprinted cocktail napkins are great for cocktails and dessert at a Bar Mitzvah. Why not try something witty, like, "You can't rock with crumbs on your face! [Child's Name]'s Bar/Bat Mitzvah (include the date)." Or choose a fun preprinted baseball cocktail napkin.
Serve adults beer right out of the can with a baseball can cooler or in large plastic cups like at the stadium. Better yet, serve them in light up pilsner glasses. The first drink for the kids can be served in a plastic baseball canteen complete with straw. Don't forget plenty of water for your stadium. Bottles with personalized labels are great at each place, passed out by your "vendors" or at the bars.
Sign-in Area and Seating Card Area
Use a baseball theme sign in board or a baseball theme sign in book for a wonderful memento! You may want to have a bouquet of balloons at this area to draw people over!
Use a baseball theme seating card showing the name of the table where the guest is sitting, the guest's name and table number. Or write their table number directly on a 4" soft baseball.
Place a sign on the tabletop where seating cards are that says, "You're at 3rd base now's a good time to find your seat!" A local rental company may have a ticket window display for this area that you can use for a great welcome piece.
The Party Room
At the next door into the party room, display a sign saying …"(Child's Name) welcomes all Baseball Bar/Bat Mitzvah ALL-STARS!"
If there is a large wall in the party room, use a baseball wall mural! You'll love it and it makes a great backdrop for pictures! You can also use this scene behind any buffets you might be having. Decorate these areas with baseballs, peanuts, popcorn and crackerjacks boxes.
If you are having a candle lighting ceremony, don't settle for a boring taper candle. Choose baseball molded candles for your ceremony. Or have a diagram of the playing field with thirteen positions. Those being honored will put a "bat" representing them on the field (attached with Velcro).
Baseball Table Decorations
Instead of just using table numbers, you can name each table after a different baseball stadium and have the kids sitting in the DUGOUT! Or name the tables after different areas in the stadium and on the field, like home plate, 1st base, etc or even different baseball teams.
For linens at your party, alternate red and blue with white napkins. If if the party center you are using only has white linens, see if they can get you the red and blue napkins. Don't forget to decorate your napkins! Empty cracker jacks boxes and cut off the top and bottom. Use this as a napkin ring. Then serve the cracker jacks in bowls on each table. For a simpler napkin ring, wrap baseball beads around the napkins. A baseball hat is a lot of fun set at each place!
Put one baseball theme personalized camera on each table for your guests to use for pictures! They can take them home if you're like, or leave them so you can see what great pictures everyone took during the evening. Then print up a ballpark-style "program" but with the Bar/Bat Mitzvah celebrant on the cover listing items about him and the special people helping him celebrate. It's fun at each place and your guests will love reading it that evening.
