Beauty
Building Bachelorette Party
A Bachelorette Party Theme Party
Nothing makes a woman feel better than a day spent relaxing at the spa with
her every whim catered. With so many different body parts vying for attention,
it might be difficult to focus on only one area. Our suggestion is to gather
together the bachelorette and her closest friends to spend an entire day (better
yet, an entire weekend) sampling all of the services that your favorite spa has
to offer.
Start with a scalp massage, a facial, and then perhaps a total body
herbal wrap. Don't forget those soothing mud baths! If you're feeling
adventurous, you might want to go for an all over body massage, and maybe even a
manicure and a pedicure. Obviously, this is not the typical bachelorette party,
but it still focuses on bringing the bride-to-be and her friends together for
one final relaxing "hurrah" while she is still an unmarried woman. We
have only one request if you decide to throw a "Beauty Building
Bachelorette Party"...can you put our names on the guest list too?
You can have this party at a spa, or invite traveling aestheticians,
manicurists, massage therapists and the like to your location for an on-site
spa-fest.
Invitations
Decorations
Ask the spa if you can hang crepe paper in the bride's colors, and maybe a
"Congratulations" banner or two. Just realize that they might not
agree to this, but when you're relaxing you'll have your eyes closed anyway,
and you will hardly even notice. Other decorations might be difficult if you
are at a location that is opposed to this. It doesn't hurt to ask, though. If
you choose to have this at your own location, create surroundings that are
relaxing and pleasant-use soothing music, subdued lighting and create
comfortable places to recline.
Everyone will love a
custom cutout of the
groom in a bathing suit!
Menu
Depending on where you go, the spa service might include hors d'oeuvres
like cheese and crackers. Some places serve fruit as well. If the spa includes
a restaurant, see if you can order fixed meals for everyone. Some spas will
allow you to bring in a catered meal if it is contained and mess-free.
If you have this spa at a home or in a personal setting, choose a menu that
is light in nature. Include light snacking type food like veggies and dip,
pizza, finger sandwiches, soup, cold meat salads, cold pasta salads and the
like. Don't forget desserts. If you are indulging your bodies, you definitely
must indulge your palate. Choose cookies, finger desserts, chocolate truffles
and other things. Fresh fruit is nice, too.
Activities
Before the party begins, have everyone meet somewhere to get to know each
other a little better before the trip to the spa (play the TP Mystery Game
below). When you get to the spa, there probably won't be time, or a need for
games/activities (besides the services that the spa offers).
TP Mystery Game: As guests arrive, hold out a roll of toilet paper and ask
each guest to tear off whatever length of toilet paper they think they'll
need. Don't explain what it's for but you might say something like "We're
short of TP tonight, and I wanted everyone to have some before we ran out. At
some point in the party, gather the guests and measure the bride's bust, hips,
leg length, or whatever with the strips of toilet paper. The guest with the
closest length of TP, wins.
Party Favors
If you don't use spa products as the invitations, use them as the favors.
Give each person a small gift certificate to the spa as incentive to return
(a manicure is just $15 dollars in most places).
