Life’s a party, thus

THE PARTY CONTINUES …

 from here (30-60) to eternity!

Some people think that once you hit 30 and up, it’s downhill from there…but not so.  The party continues until you’re on the other side of the grass (so to speak).  How better to prove that “the party continues” than to use this theme for your next milestone birthday. “The Party Continues…” theme has matching invitations, plates, cups, napkins, tablecovers and even thank you notes.  We offer special designs for your 30^th ,40^th, 50^th, or even 60^th birthday party.  Plus, in our Milestone Birthday Creations for You Shop, we’ve added matching invitations, Candy Bar Wrappers, bottle labels and centerpieces …so check it out.

In the meantime, follow our step-by-step plan below and just add guests™…

Invitation

You can use the themed invitation we offer that matches this theme and add some streamers (don’t use confetti—your friends will HATE YOU)…  OR do something just a little more clever to scream out to your guests that this is going to be one great party.

Paste the invitation inside a party hat (take it apart and re-glue or staple) or check out our matching invites for this theme.  But for something extra-special and that doubles as a gift, use one of our caricature invitations.  We can draw the person who is celebrating wearing a t-shirt that says, LIFE’S A PARTY…and add in all their special interests in the background that make their life a party each and every day.  And if you want, we’ll add a party hat!!!

Decorations

Entrance

By now you know, we love our lifesize cutouts as a way to greet your guests.  It doubles as a sign in board if you’d like—just provide a Sharpie to your guests.  Add a party hat and speech bubble… “Life’s a party…thus THE PARTY CONTINUES…welcome!” and you’re all set.

If you want something extra special, we can custom make a 4-5’ tall party hat to put at the entrance (age specific with 30’s or # of choice all over it!)…Contact Beth, the Custom Queen for details. 

Buffets and Bars

Cover the buffets and bars with the matching plastic tablecover or use black cloths with a purple or teal overlay. Scatter “30” or birthday confetti (on all flat surfaces, by the way).  On the wall behind each, I’d cut out the age from the plate (or scan it and print on cardstock) and attach to the wall or hang from the ceiling.

The first drink can be served in a personalized beer cup or drink glass that matches the theme…THE PARTY CONTINUES WITH JACK…May 17, 2008.

or try one of our light up martini or margarita glasses.  Cool!  And a great favor, too.

Tables

Just do matching color balloons in black, teal and purple or for something a little more extravagant, we can make you a matching centerpiece to which you can add balloons or flowers (plus we can add a photo if you’d like).  Scatter the right color streamers and confetti around the base of the centerpiece and, if appropriate, add LED lights to make the centerpiece really fantastic. 

In fact, a great thing to do to make the room pop is to attach a magnetic flasher to the fork or knife and turn them on.  Guests will be wearing them in no time, but the look when they walk in turns the room into a light show…

Dance Floor fun

Used to be in the old days that maracas were only for fiestas. Well, no longer!  We have every color, every size and every type but you want black and purple.  Plus we have mini and regular sized tambourines in black and purple, too.  We can even personalize them if you want. 

Favors

We have a long list of favors (like our candy bars and more) but here are some of my favorites for this theme:

T-shirts in black with teal with a fun saying on the front like: 

Hey! Jack is 30! The party continues at HIS HOUSE!! or something similar.

Black mugs with THE PARTY CONTINUES at Jill’s! –fill them with candy (like M&Ms with the person’s name) and put in a cello bag with purple and teal ribbon (or we’ll do it for you)!

The Party Continues with Jack or Jill or whomever CD with favorite party songs or songs from your celebrant’s favorite decade or song list.  We can make a special cover and list the song title plus make you the CD.  They’ll never forget your party with this favor (this also makes a great invite).
