PRESIDENTIAL POLL AIMS TO BOOST VOTER ENTHUSIASM; PICKS CANDIDATE MOST LIKELY TO BE A PARTY ANIMAL

America is apathetic and undecided. To release voters from this mental anguish, event planning website Party411.com conducted a poll of its visitors to put the party back into politics and determine which candidate best qualifies as a political party animal. The results indicate that America takes its candidates seriously, and, among other things, is not ready to tolerate a President who is too much fun.

The First Annual Party411.com Presidential Preference Poll attracted a great response. The results find Gore and Bush in a dead heat (what else is new?). But the real truth, according to Sherri Foxman, Party Girl and founder of Party411.com, is that, "Only 29% of those polled thought it was somewhat important and only 4% thought it was most important that our next President be a party animal. I miss Bill already," she says.

Ms. Foxman was just as disappointed to find out that the majority of Party411.com visitors thought it was more important that the next President negotiate like Henry Kissinger than dance like Ricky Martin.

If you are still on the fence as to who gets your vote, use the Party411.com poll results to form a decision:

  • 40% chose Al Gore as best dancer while 42% felt George W. would throw the best White House parties
  • 34% chose Al Gore as the candidate best at Karaoke while 35% wanted to kiss him
  • 50% thought George W. Bush knows better drinking games than Ralph Nader (9%) and Pat Buchanan (10%)
  • 39% said that Al Gore kissing Tipper on TV had the most positive effect on their choice for President
  • 26% voted George W. was the best replacement for Kathie Lee on "Live with Regis"

The results indicate that George W. is the candidate most likely to be a party animal. No matter how hard George tries, Washington (and the White House) will never be the same without sax-playing Bill Clinton. Those polled on Party411.com said that when constructed, The Bill Clinton Presidential Library should be built out of rhinestones. If that doesn't prove America's need for fun, what does?
