Maple-Pecan Tart
(For one 8-inch wide tart shell)
Ingredients:
- 2 Whole Eggs
- 1 ½ oz. Sugar
- 1 ½ oz. Maple Syrup
- 1 ¼ oz. Flour, sifted
- 1 ¼ oz. Sweet Butter, melted
- 1 lb. Pecan Halves
- 4 oz. Cake Crumbs
- Sweet Dough for one form
- Vanilla Ice Cream or Whipped Cream
To Prepare:
- Preheat oven to 3508 F. Mix eggs with sugar and maple syrup. Add
flour and melted butter. Roll sweet dough and place into form.
- Cover bottom with cake crumbs. Neatly arrange pecan halves in tart
shell and fill with maple custard mixture. Place tart in oven and bake
for approximately 30 minutes.
- Cool the tart, then remove the form and with a brush, glaze the tart
with additional maple syrup. Serve art room temperature with either
vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
