Maple-Pecan Tart
(For one 8-inch wide tart shell)

Ingredients:

  • 2 Whole Eggs
  • 1 ½ oz. Sugar
  • 1 ½ oz. Maple Syrup
  • 1 ¼ oz. Flour, sifted
  • 1 ¼ oz. Sweet Butter, melted
  • 1 lb. Pecan Halves
  • 4 oz. Cake Crumbs
  • Sweet Dough for one form
  • Vanilla Ice Cream or Whipped Cream

To Prepare:

  1. Preheat oven to 3508 F. Mix eggs with sugar and maple syrup. Add flour and melted butter. Roll sweet dough and place into form.
  2. Cover bottom with cake crumbs. Neatly arrange pecan halves in tart shell and fill with maple custard mixture. Place tart in oven and bake for approximately 30 minutes.
  3. Cool the tart, then remove the form and with a brush, glaze the tart with additional maple syrup. Serve art room temperature with either vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
