  • National Nursing Week - A week to honor to the outstanding efforts of nurses everywhere.

  • Golden Spike Anniversary of the Transcontinental Railroad - Gold spike was hammered in all the way back in 1869, joining the Union Pacific and Central Pacific railroads. It was promptly removed.

Armed Forced Day in the United States is celebrated on the third Saturday in May with parades, parties and air shows.
