Dad's A Sport!
This Father’s Day do what dad loves best…hold a sports-themed celebration. Instead of him sitting in front of the TV all day with a beer in his hand, shower him with sports paraphernalia, trivia and more to make him feel special. When it comes to trivia, no matter what he answers, he wins. After all, it’s Father’s Day.
Invitation
Well, you can call everyone to come or you can do something really special like a caricature of Dad with all his interests included. Check out different samples on the Party411
caricature page. Then, as a great gift, get it framed for his office.
In fact, the caricature is just as good a gift as it is an invitation. You can just have one drawn and present it with Father’s Day 2001 emblazoned across it.
If he’s into one sport or five, include them all. Here’s an example…we can draw him wearing a basketball jersey, holding a baseball glove in one hand and a football under his arm. In the background, we can put a hockey stick leaning up against the wall, etc.
He’ll love it if he loves sports.
Just a thought.
Decorations
Do the table up right. Include our "Action
Sports" papergoods, cups, napkins and more to give Dad a dinner to remember.
Tie the napkins off with sports yo-yos. Scatter sports confetti on table and for a centerpiece use a mixture of sports balloons (they come in every style).
Menu
Cook out, cook out, cook out. Hot dogs, hamburgers, corn on the cob. Nothing terribly extravagant, because truthfully…Dad doesn’t care. He just wants to be with the family.
Activities
Piñatas are always fun. They come in basketball, baseball, soccer, and football. Fill them with candy and let Dad let loose all his frustration about all that money you spent this year!! Fill them with candy and prizes and don’t forget a Piñata Buster to make it all the more fun.
Before dinner, to work up an appetite, try Dad’s hand (or better yet…foot) at kickball. Whether it’s a
soccer, baseball or basketball kickball,
let Dad win! You know why!
