I've hosted two basptism receptions at my home for my children. We usually just have the family over after the church ceremony. I'll have food and a cake (this time in the shape of a cross). I always make favors for guests - first time it was crocheted crosses and this time it was picture frames with a cross on it with a picture of my child (these were just $1.25 each). We open gifts and that's usually it. But keep in mind - I just invite family and that's bad enough because we are a big family.
