Why don't you put some toy cars(the big cheap plastic ones from Walmart or dollar store) in center of table and tie helium balloons to them. Then the toys can be given to your friends' children. Make a cake with a racetrack and put hotwheels on it.Most bakeries will make this type of cake. I've seen black and white checkered flags at party stores- that would go well with the theme!
