NEED NEW GIFT EXCHANGE IDEAS

Posted by Jean on November 26, 1999 at 09:59:25:

I have been the gift coordinator in my child study group for the past two years - NEED NEW IDEAS>

Last year - I did a wish list - had everyone fill out a wish list - things they want/need/etc.
Also, everyone filled out a tag that told me - the gift coordinator - what the present was that they
brougth. Strange ,huh? Well, I played SANTA - so to speak - I tried to fill the wish lists.

The year before - they best ever exchange game - my first year as gift coordinator.
I made up trivia cards about the members ahead of time. Everyone started with their own gift on their
lap and passed out about three cards to each person. Started somewhere and had them read their card - for instance,
who lives in Reading? and they tried to figure it out and can have help from others and exchange their gift with that person.
Was very fun, exchanging and learning more about the others at the same time. IF , at the end,
you had your own gift, exchange with the person on the right.

Years before I did it - this is what I heard they did-

played charades - winner picks out one wrapped gift, and so on

Played a story on tape. Whenever you hear the word AND -pass to the right,
THE- pass to the left, etc.

I really need a new idea for this year!!!

Help

thanks

JEan
