A night of pampering comes to my mind. Guests could give each other facials with commercial or homemade products or you could hire someone to do it from your salon. I would hire one to two massage therapists to give massages or a yoga instuctor to lead the group in relaxation exercises.

For food, make your own pizzas would take the pressure off of you and keep eveyone involved. Most groceries have the Bobola bread in individual sizes. Buy the sauce and gourmet pizza items such as spinach, sun dried tomato and feta cheese or roasted garlic, mushroom and parmesean, roasted red pepper, onion and gouda, etc. Get a variety of items and let everyone select their favorites. Serve with wine and Pellegrino sparkling water and a simple salad with a vinagrette. You could serve a cheescake from your favorite bakery or biscotti/macaroons with coffee.
Other ideas might be paella or a hearty soup. Email me if you'd like recipes.

If the women aren't very familar with one another, you could do this to break the ice. Write down an interesting but not well known item about each person and put in a bowl. You could begin by drawing an item and asking that person to tell the group more about that. When that person finishes they draw the next person's. Once, my group was treated to a short lesson in Renaissance art, a virtual tour of the Biltmore Estate in Ashland, NC and how to organize one's closet.

Another might be to make up some slips with higher power pursuits or ideas. Examples might be daily expressions of gratitude, living a more simple, deliberate life, the benefits of maintaining a state of inquiry and how personal rituals add joy to one's realm. Pick things of interest to your attendees. have each person speak about what they know about the subject they've drawn for 3 minutes. This will be especially inspiring.

When your guests leave the next morning, they'll feel nourished in their body, mind and soul. It would be original and a departure from the juvenile activities usually associated with slumber parties.

Hope this helps.
