Well I live in an apartment and I can safety say u can fit about 40 people in a 4 room apartment so I can't imagine not being able to host a party in a town house. I mean how many people are you thinking? 300? Seriously ur mom's house should work fine, but if you really want to have a party at your dad's then you need to convince him that you're responsible (hopefully u've been good so u can swing it quickly). Try to compromise with him: Give him the old - if I let you talk to them at the door can I then have the party in the basement and you can stop down once or twice just to check on us routine. You don't say how old you are but I would guess because of the troubles you're around 14-16 so I'm going to assume that you wouldn't really be drinking (and if you are planning to hide it really well and clean up like no other). Parents were kids once and the way that always worked with my dad to get permission to do stuff and not be bothered was to ask him about his college days and after listening to a story or two ask about having the party w/o constant supervision - he was thinking about all the fun he had and he kinda forgot what all we might be up to! I made it though high school safely so I think these tips might help - remember don't rule out the townhouse right away and try and build trust - also the biggest rule is if you do something bad don't get caught (a.k.a. don't be dumb)
