How about a nature theme? But, change it a bit and make it more whimsical or magical. Sort of like a Midsummer Night's Dream or something with faeries and other woodsy critters. If the woolly worm comes out then you can have fake snow falling from the ceiling while the girls showcase their outfits and maybe have autumn flowers in their hair or small wings on the back of their dresses. The stage can be decorated with trees, moss, mushrooms, etc. just like a forest. You can have Celtic music or something from Enya playing in the background.
