I organized an event like this last year and plan to do it again in a few weeks.

We did a "fun olympics" with games like a crazy relay race, where you have different activities for different legs of the relay. i.e. We did potato sack, 3-legged race, water balloon walk, wheel-barrow, and egg in spoon race. Everyone that took part in it had fun, and it was just as much fun for those that were watching. We also did the old faithful tug-o-war and an egg toss...just think silly kid's games that would still be fun for adults.
