Since it's august, I thought my son's friends would like to scavenge for shool supplies. (I know, but they're only going into second grade; they still like school!) We're going to hide the stuff all over our yard, and give them a bag and a list of what to find. I bought the small cheap stuff, so I wouldn't go broke. I am also going to take digital pictures of places in our yard (like a close up of the net on our hammock, a close up of the wicker couch, maybe the flag on our mailbox, etc). They'll have to follow a treasure hunt of picture clues from one thing to another until they get to the final spot where some actual fun gifts are. Maybe I'll have candies for them at each checkpoint along the way.
