Re: Brain FreezePosted by JazzieCazzie on September 23, 2003 at 09:36:39: In Reply to: Brain Freeze posted by Canadian Mom #2 on September 23, 2003 at 09:17:46: I've been sending my follow-up letters upon receipt of the RSVP rather than inserting it with the original invitations, for a few reasons ... one, there was so much in the original envelope (invite, response card, reception card, directions and tzedaka card) that I was already concerned about stuff getting lost in the shuffle. Plus, getting the letter under separate cover gives them even less time to lose/forget about it, and a reason (I hope) to keep it separate and maybe tack it on a bulletin board or something. I actually have two separate follow-up letters I've been sending ... one to her non-Jewish and classmate friends (as well as ours that are local), and another one that we are sending to out-of-towners with more detailed info on things like transportation, etc. We're adding invites to a Sunday brunch with the follow-ups to out-of-towners as well. And yes, lately I HAVE been feeling as if I have US Post Office stamped on my forehead but I sure do have it streamlined to a science. Hoping that by Nov. 2 I may have a dining room back (just in time for that brunch).
