Just got back from two weeks vacation and boy have I missed alot. It is going to take me a while to catch up.

I used live fish for my daughter's Sweet 16. Here is the problem with goldfish. Goldfish do not live very long unless they are in pretty large bowls. All pet stores advised against them. I used Beta fish (sometimes called Fighting fish). They are much prettier than goldfish, but you can only use one per bowl or they will kill each other. They are a little more expensive than goldfish but well worth it because they live a long time in quite small bowls.

I don't think you will have any trouble with the kids. What we did at the Sweet was have a contest. Each guest got a ballot on which they named the fish on the table. We then picked the best names and that person won the fish to take home. You might want to do this only on the kids tables as you would have alot of ballots to go through. Try to appoint a couple of friends to quickly go through the ballots. It was fun to see all the names. Then announce the winners towards the end of the evening.
