My daughter goes to an Orthodox private school. Although we are not Orthodox we felt that she was so shunned in public school, maybe in a religious school with a smaller class, this sort of behavior would not be tolerated. Well, she is still pretty lonely, but the school asks that the entire class be invited to the Bar and Bat Mitzvahs. That has made the whole tuition worthwhile. How do you teach a child social graces when you can't get them invited anywhere? All my best to you other moms. This problem is a silent heartbreak.
