I am once again visiting this board preparing for my younger daughters Bat Mitzvah in March. Two years ago my older daughter became a Bat Mitzvah. I sweated over every detail from who to invite, dyeing the shoes the right color, will the kids ever respond etc. etc.. As you could all imagine many of my nights were sleepless. Four days before the event as we were taking the final seating chart to the caterer the towers fell. All of the sudden things that were incredibly important minutes earlier beame insignificant as I took roll call of my family (we live in North Jersey). The service and reception went on as planned with some guests unable to make it due to being stuck elsewhere in the country, but fortunately we lost no one close to us. Some tears were shed as people looked out the window of our reception hall at the smoke rising from the NY skyline but the celebration was joyous. This time around I'm taking things in perspective, and hope you can as well.
