Make a list of your favorite marine life, find photos (calendars are a great resource for good photos) You can enlarge the photos and mount them on foam board. Take styrofoam and wrap in burlap. Place the pictures of the marine life in the foam. Seashells placed at the base of the styrofoam completes the look. Oriental Trading Catalogue is a good resource for inexpensive shells etc...
The other way to go is to get large glass fish bowls. (Do not use live fish) Fill the bottom with sand. You can get sand at any large hardware store. Add seashells, fake fish and top with balloons.There are fun mylar fish balloons on the market that are wonderful.
Another suggestion is to make table numbers that have photos of marine life. Carrying the theme into the tables numbers is always an eye-catcher.
