We've always had all the cousins on 1 candle, the 2 sets of grandparents each get a candle, then groups of family friends on one (i.e.old friends on one, neighborhood friends on another), all aunts and uncles on one, all child's friends on another. This time we are doing away with table pictures and calling ALL adult guests up for one candle and taking that one group photo with the bar mitzvah boy. Also, we save one candle for child's oldest friend(s). GOOD LUCK - it's hard not to hurt someone's feelings!
