Betty - I think it is wonderful that you are giving the gift such thought and consideration. Although my daughter received a book or two at her B.M. I must admit that at 13 she was much happier with gifts of money! However, if you would consider a gift of jewelry, a jewish star, a chai, on a chain or as a charm is meaningful. Also, if you do give a book, can I suggest a donation to her Temple's hebrew school as well? Any amount in the denominations of $18.oo is lovely (
