I am using excerpts from "Putting God On the Guest
List" by Rabbi Jeffrey K. Salkin in our Son's Bar Mitzvah
booklet. This book has a lot of good information.
Something I have added for the benefit of our non-Jewish friends and family
is the fact that the many refrences to "Israel" in our service refer to the Jewish people and not to the modern
state. Many non-Jews do not know this.
