I went to a Bar Mitzvah at a Gym. The kids had a great time swimming, playing tennis, etc. There was an aerobics instructor in one room. For the adults there was a masseuse (neck and back). One group of the adults brought a Mah Jong set and played. the rest of us worked out on machines. It was not a very festive Bar mitzvah environment.. candlelighting with kids in bathing suits and adults in sweatsuits. I wouldn't reccommend this type of Bar Mitzvah.
