If you are really set on the nurf football, may i suggest handing out the giveaways at the end of the party as the children are being picked up? My girlfriends husband(the Bar Mitzvah boys father) stood at the door while the chilren were leaving to make sure all departed safely and handed them their bags of goodies then. If you need your hubby around at that time, perhaps an older child or a relative could hand them out.

Some other giveaway ideas may be packs of basketball or baseball cards, they come in various price ranges.
If you'd like, you could tell me what the girls giveaway is and i may be able to come up with other ideas for the boys.
