I had to send out invitations before the holiday rush so that they would not get lost in the holiday mail. Since it was 9 weeks ahead, I put a note to parents of the kids asking for them to call me to confirm the transportation we were arrranging to the reception. If I didnt hear from them, it gave me an excuse to call them if I had not rec'd the RSVP and also to make sure of my count.
