Michelle- after sitting thru countless speeches that extol the Bar/Bat Mitzvah's virtues, I think that most often they make guests very uncomfortable. Everyone invited knows what a great child you have, what she and you have been thru, and what her outside activities are. Why not just state that" you're very proud of her today and always, and that you're happy that everyone is here to share such a special day together and in good health."? Good luck and Mazel tov.
