This is obviously one issue that has struck a chord with many... and everyone has had wonderful suggestions in terms of mailing "Save the Dates" and early mailing for out of towners.
When you send out the invitations you just never know what the response will be, even from those you are sure will come.There are times that you will disappointed or even surprised at the response.
But when you are sitting in synagogue with your eyes on your son/daughter, it won't matter who is sitting behind you.
