That's all well and good, but you may be accepting some liability here.

Foamboard is weak & flexible, bends easily and can compromise the integrity of the decorations.

In addition if you are placing these posters in the air, how do you support them?

Wev'e done this theme many times over, each time differently, yet using similar elements.
The playbill, music theme elements, instrumnents,
the masks, stage, etc all can come into play.

I would strongly suggest you first identify the honorees interests and then select the broadway plays based on those interests.

Supporting elements for decor will then come easily.
