I am helping the expectant mothers daughter give her a shower. I fell into the position when she asked if it was inappropriate for her daughter to do so. I volunteered even though we are little more than long time aquaintances. This party has went from small and affordable -- to 30 guests and a full blown lunch at the mothers request. She recruited 2 more helpers and even with that in mind...it will cost all 4 of us at least $73 a piece. I'm feeling resentful and angry. I don't even spend that much on Birthday parties for my kids!!! Please help...am I being petty?
