the posibilities are endless! what is the theme of your shower? what is the nursery decorated as? are they having a boy or a girl? you could draw ideas from the nursery decorations or your table decorations etc...

you could purchase bottles, fill with pink and blue jelly beans and use it as a weight for baloons
you could use a decorative paper bag with the handles in a baby theme and fill with pastel colored tissue papers and weight it down with stuff and use it with baloons
make the centerpiece part of the gift. take a wicker basket the shape of a basinett and line it with a receiving blanket, and fill with baby items
take a clean bath tub and fill with bath items.
take a clean bath tub and fill with water and float tea lights and baby rubber duckies
take a small child's potty and fill with flowers
take a watermelon and carve it into a baby carriage and fill with fruit.
you could take baby pictures of the family and guest and have a "guess the baby" contest
take a piggy bank, and decorate it with baby theme designs or dollar signs in pink and blue paint pens. next to it, fill a mason jar of pink and blue jelly beans or hersheys "hugs and kisses" chocolates and charge 25 cents for a guess of how many candies are in the jar.
put up a sign "it's never too late to start saving for college"
fill a vase with pink, blue and white carnations, tie a bow and a rattle with the bow
fill a small child's wagon with books, alphabet blocks, wodden toys
put a small childs choo choo train set, put candles in the middle and have the train cirlce the candles
use stuffed animals or raggedy ann and andy dolls.
for xmas, put up a small xmas tree and ask each guest to bring an ornament for the new baby
put up a "spring tree" and put pictures of family members on the "family tree"

hopes this gives you some "ideas"
