It's definately required that you thank the hostess, but going that extra length to give her a gift is a wonderful gesture and will let her know how much you TRULY appreciate her. If your hostess likes to throw parties, you can give a "hostess" gift, a server, set of wine charms, cheese spread knives, etc. that she can use next time she hosts a party. If the hostess will be a new aunt, godmother, grandmother, you can always look for something personalized (Best Aunt, Best Grandma, etc). Otherwise, a small gift that you know she will enjoy will work just as well. It's the thought that counts. As for the grandmother's gifts, by all means wrap them and give them to each grandma at the shower - and watch their faces light up with surprise!

You are such a sweetheart to be thinking about everyone else right now, congratulations on your little one (to-be)!
